XI: OPINIONS & THOUGHTS

Opinion

opinion is the way you feel or think about something. our opinion about something or soeone is based on our prespective. whenever we give or express our opinion, it is important to give reasoning or an example to support or opinion. 

example: 

- I reckon he might have been bullied in school

- I believe bullying is totally an unacceptable practice in our school 

- To be honest, i never thought that he is your brother 

dialogue about opinions:

Jigi:  Some people say friends are always honest with each other. What do you think?

Ale:  In my opinion friends need to be completely honest.One little lie and the friendship just disappears.

Jigi:  Ah, that’s pretty strong language. Do you really think that?

Ale:  Yeah. Once, one of my good friends lied to me. He was a really good friend, and I just felt completely betrayed. It destroyed the friendship

Thought 

Thought as a conjunction (conjunction) starts an adverbial clause and relates it to the main clause in a complex sentence. The adverbial clause can be in front or in the middle of a sentence. If in front of a sentence, a comma is usually pinned afterwards to separate it from the main clause.

example in simple past tense:

- i thought you goes to canada last night

- I thought i never met you again 

- you tought that i'm gone?

example in perfect tense 

- i thought you have  buy a new bycicle

-  my sister thought i have a new schedule tomorrow morning

- i thought you're gonna going to america in the weekend 

dialogue about thought 

Jigi : ale , what do you think to make a good friend?

Ale:  Well, I personally believe that a friend is someone who is fun to be with.

Jigi:  Hm…fun to be with? Can you give me an example?

Ale:  I like friends who like to go out and have fun together – go down town, go to the beach, see a movie, something like that.

Jigi:  ooh So…. You thought  that friend has to like the same things you do?

Ale:  No…not really, just that they have a fun personality.You know, fun to be with whatever we do.
